Sample Gallery
Reference integrations to validate a Volcano implementation on each supported host.
Included applications
| Sample | What it verifies |
|---|---|
androidApp | Edge-to-edge host layout, system Back drill-up, interactive leaf selection. |
iosApp | Compose UIViewController bridge, safe-area-aware host, iOS Simulator framework. |
desktopApp | Resizable window, hover tooltip, pointer interaction. |
examples/react-demo | React SVG integration, fast feed, drill-down, and aggregated/raw 5,000-leaf modes. |
benchmark | Shared layout measurement with a synthetic 5,000-leaf tree. |
The applications are deliberately demos, not required runtime dependencies of the library.
Android: overview and drill-down
The following captures were verified on a Galaxy S25 (SM-S938N) with the Android demo's bundled
financial fixture. The overview shows groups and a legend; selecting the 전자 기술 group header
opens its leaf-level heatmap with a breadcrumb and enabled Back control.

Desktop: resizable overview and drill-down
The Desktop sample uses the same shared Heatmap API in a resizable Compose Desktop window. The
overview shows sibling groups at once; the Finance drill-down preserves the breadcrumb and enables
the Back control. Pointer hover is available as a separate Desktop interaction policy.

iOS: safe-area overview and drill-down
The iOS Simulator host embeds the same shared Compose UI in a UIViewController. The overview
respects the iPhone safe area; Electronic Technology drill-down retains the breadcrumb and provides
the same Back behavior as the other hosts.

Capture policy
Publish screenshots or short GIFs from a verified release candidate, not hand-drawn mockups. Each capture should identify platform, library version, device/window size, dataset size, and the interaction shown. Recommended flows are: overview to group drill-down, breadcrumb/Back return, leaf detail selection, and Desktop hover tooltip.
Android, Desktop, and iOS captures are committed under documentation/content/gallery/.
React web demo
The React demo uses the same market fixture and update formula as the Desktop/iOS samples. Build the local Kotlin/JS core and npm package, then start Vite:
./gradlew :volcano:jsDevelopmentLibraryCompileSync
cd packages/volcano-react && npm ci && npm run build
cd ../../examples/react-demo && npm ci && npm run devUse Fast feed for 100 ms metric updates and 5K view / 5K raw for aggregated and full 5,000-leaf scenarios. This is a manual stress demo; browser frame-rate results have not been established as a release benchmark. No React screenshot is included in the gallery yet.
